The Ha Long Tourism Week will take place from April 29 to May 3, 2023, with the highlight being the Halong Carnaval 2023 program with the theme “Ha Long Dance – Harmonizing Five Continents”, held at 8:00 pm on May 1, 2023 (Monday), at Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City.
This is the 15th Halong Carnaval since Quang Ninh province introduced this tourism product to serve tourists and locals.
Halong Carnaval 2023 consists of 4 parts: opening ceremony, stage art program, street dance parade, low-altitude fireworks display (about 15 minutes).
This year’s program uses modern sound and lighting technology; combines many special effects; the stage space and layout are moved according to each performance, with mobile LED screens. The street dance parade is represented through various dances and movements, representing ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province, provinces and cities throughout the country, and countries around the world…
Along with the Carnaval program, Ha Long City will also organize many cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism activities at Quang Ninh Museum, 30/10 Square, new tourist spots… Of note are: Dance Group Festival (April 29), Kite Festival (April 30), Launching the “Ha Long – Heritage City” photo contest (April 30), Street Art and Food Festival (April 30)
The organizers of Halong Carnaval 2023 are expected to invite famous singers, dance troupes, beauty queens, professional actors, folk artists, and nearly 2,000 actors to participate in the program.
Halong Carnaval 2023 will be a story structured by factors such as history, art, legend, openness, nature, development… to show that Ha Long is a place where the best things converge, to deserve its position as a leading destination in Asia. The city’s goal is to spread, build the image of Halong Bay with a 29-year journey of being recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage and affirm the Carnaval Halong 2023 brand in its 15th year as a destination of smiles and hospitality. This is also the catalyst to make Ha Long tourism more beautiful and impressive in the hearts of every tourist.
Especially, not only during the Carnaval period, during the 3-month Ha Long summer tourism period in 2023, the city is also studying to develop new tourism products that are suitable for the trend of young people, ensuring that there is at least one new activity or product every month to attract tourists.
